Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification for Arizona
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Skilled in working with students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Able to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Passion for providing an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to student needs
- Modify and adapt general education curriculum as necessary
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching approaches
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
- Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
