Our team takes pride in doing tough work with precision, grit, and integrity. “Pride, Grit, & Own It!” Position Available: Small Engine Technician/FabricatorR-2 Contractors is looking for a dedicated and experienced Small Engine Tech/Fabricator to join our growing team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute to our continued success with a company that values integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and part replacements
- Troubleshoot mechanical, fuel, and electrical system issues
- Operate shop equipment such as grinders, welders, and cutting tools
- Fabricate or modify components using basic welding and metalworking techniques
- Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Track work performed and parts used through basic documentation or work orders
- Assist with shop organization, inventory, and tool upkeep
- Previous experience working with small engines and mechanical systems
- Basic welding, cutting, and metal fabrication skills
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working in a shop or outdoor environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Safety-conscious with attention to detail
- Full-time
