Cardiovascular Section Chief
CardiovascularDepartmentChairtojoinourestablishedandgrowingemployedpractice.TheDepartmentChairis
responsiblefordeliveringoutstandingpatientcareaswellasadministrativeleadershipandoversightforthe
departmentandclinicalspecialty subsections.
Responsibilities:
- Conductsclinical,administrativeandqualityoversightofourcardiologyproviderswithintheDepartment.
- Clinicalworkasa0.8FTEand0.2administrativeFTE.
- Establishesstandardsandprotocolsforevidence-basedcardiovascularmedicinewithintheDepartment.
- Determinestheimmediate,intermediateandlong-termgoalsfortheCardiologyDepartmentinalignmentwithDepartmentstrategy.
- Conductsannualperformancereviewsofcardiologyprovidersandsupportstheirprofessionaldevelopment.
- WorkswithChiefMedicalOfficertocontinuouslyimprovecardiovascularqualityandpatientexperience.
- Participateinleadershipdevelopmentprograms, medicalstaffcommitteesandservesasavotingmemberoftheMedicalGroup.
- LeadershipCouncilasrequiredbythe Chief Medical Officer.
- Ongoingcommitmenttocontinuingmedicaleducationandprofessionaldevelopmentofcardiology providers withintheDepartment.
- Participatesinandpromotescardiovascularmedicaleducationincludingdevelopmentof
- continuingmedicaleducationprograms,curriculaandprogrammatic design for medical
- student, future GME programs, and APPs.
