Wyyerd is seeking a Material Yard Supervisor to assist across all areas of network deployment and customer installation. This position plays a critical role on the Network team, whose primary goals are to deliver the most advanced telecommunications services in the market, while optimizing costs and providing an outstanding end-to-end customer experience.

About This Role

The Material Yard Supervisor is a vital part of the Wyyerd Connect team. Wyyerd Connect has near-term plans to dramatically accelerate expansion of our fiber network and, in doing so, construction of new fiber plant will be accelerated. This individual is responsible for working with internal design engineers, Construction Managers, Construction Techs and outside contractors to enable the rapid deployment of telecom equipment/materials to enable this expansion.

The Material Yard Supervisor position, which will be located at the Tucson, AZ material storage yard, is responsible for overseeing all the material management activities and logistics taking place in and out of the facility, continuously improving efficiencies and processes, and acting as the interface to the construction techs and contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Receive materials upon delivery, update inventory systems and store them in the yard appropriately.

• Manage outgoing material requests from both internal teams and contractors.

• Work with other teams in the company including construction, installation, engineering, marketing and finance.

• Highly involved in monthly, quarterly and annual cycle counting. This includes both counting assets and scanning bar codes.

• Responsible for keeping the material yard organized and clean.

• Proactively looking for process improvements to optimize system and physical efficiency.

Experience/Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of materials handling experience in a high volume warehouse environment.

• Ability to work comfortably in a materials management software system.

• Google suite and MS Office suite skills.

• Knowledge of telecom equipment is a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Forklift skills.

• Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of Wyyerd Connect personnel

• Competencies include excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

• A positive team attitude and desire to continually improve.
