Job Title: Aluminum MIG Welder $25-$31

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aluminum MIG Welder to oversee welding processes for MIG and TIG, ensuring all welds are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise advanced welding techniques, including multi-pass welding and pipe welding, on complex processes.
• Design and fabricate metal parts, components, and assemblies based on blueprints, drawings, or project specifications.
• Mentor and train less experienced welders, providing guidance and support to improve skills.
• Inspect completed welds for strength, durability, and quality, performing tests as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex welding issues, adjusting techniques and settings as required.
• Work closely with leadership, engineers, and other trades to ensure welding work meets specifications and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations at all times.
• Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and provide continuous improvement suggestions.

Essential Skills

• Recent and extensive experience with welding aluminum.
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding processes with wire-fed machines.
• Experience in welding both aluminum and carbon steel, particularly thinner gauged steel.
• 7+ years of experience in welding, with extensive experience in fabrication work.
• Expert knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and specialized welding methods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills with experience leading and mentoring welding teams.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with 10 hours of holiday pay on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Employees are required to work the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve but will receive 10 hours of holiday pay the day after. The facility is located in Mesa, Arizona, and does not operate on Fridays. The role requires physical capabilities such as lifting up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Use of Personal Protection Equipment is mandatory, and good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
