As the largest operator, manager, and franchisor of chiropractic clinics in the U.S., The Joint delivers more than 12 million patient visits annually across nearly 1,000 locations. Recognized by Forbes, Fortune, and Franchise Times, we are leading a movement to make wellness care more accessible to all. Position SummaryAt The Joint, strong operations are what allow everything else to work. This role is about making sure our clinics, franchise partners, and internal teams have the clarity, tools, and support they need to be successful. We’re looking for a Director, Operations Services to lead how operational support shows up across our corporate and franchise clinic network. This person will help connect strategy to day-to-day execution - ensuring programs, systems, and processes are practical, scalable, and built with the patient experience in mind. The role will also help identify and leverage data, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and decision-making, ensuring technology enhances (rather than complicates) clinic execution.
The right candidate enjoys problem-solving, simplifying complexity, and working closely with others to get things done. You’ll partner across teams, stay connected to the field, and lead operations services and enablement efforts that directly impact how our clinics operate and grow.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Strategy & Execution
- Set the direction for how ops services support clinic efficiency, consistency, and growth across the system.
- Translate enterprise strategy into practical processes, tools, and resources that clinics can actually use.
- Continuously evaluate what’s working (and what’s not), using feedback from the field, operational data, and available insights to improve how we operate at scale.
Training, Enablement, and Development
- Shape the operational experience from day-one onboarding through long-term clinic maturity.
- Partner with training and clinical leaders to ensure learning programs reinforce strong fundamentals, operational confidence, and engagement, including effective adoption of new systems and tools.
- Help evolve how we develop clinic teams as the business grows, priorities shift, and new technologies are introduced.
Systems & Technology Integration
- Act as the operational voice in system design, rollout, and optimization—ensuring technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions support rather than complicate clinic operations.
- Collaborate closely with IT, Legal, Marketing, and other teams to embed operational needs into enterprise tools and platforms.
- Bridge the gap between technical solutions and real-world clinic execution through thoughtful change management and enablement.
Franchisee Experience & Field Communication
- Champion a franchisee experience that feels clear, supportive, and consistent—from onboarding through long-term partnership.
- Ensure operational communications are timely, practical, and easy to understand, particularly when introducing new tools or system changes.
- Stay connected to the field, listening closely and using insights to inform better decisions and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner across teams to ensure operational alignment on key initiatives.
- Represent the clinic and franchisee perspective in planning discussions and execution efforts.
- Support pilots, rollouts, and system-wide initiatives with a focus on readiness, adoption, and long-term success.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Build and lead an Operations Services team that is trusted, proactive, and known for getting things done.
- Create an environment where accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement—including thoughtful use of data and technology—are part of how the team operates every day.
- Coach and develop leaders while modeling The Joint’s values and leadership standards.
Key Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in operations, field support, training, or a related function within a multi-unit, franchised environment.
- 3+ years of experience leading people and influencing work across teams.
- Strong operational judgment with the ability to balance consistency with real-world flexibility.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence without formal authority.
- Clear, confident communicator with strong organizational and change management skills.
- Experience supporting technology-enabled operations, data-driven decision-making, or AI-enabled tools in a scaled environment.
- Ability to assess where automation or AI can improve efficiency while maintaining a strong human-centered, field-first approach.
