Location: West Texas (Relocation Required)

We are seeking a driven Project Engineer to support the delivery of a ground-up, large-scale data center project in West Texas. This role is ideal for someone early in their construction career who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.

This position will require relocation to a remote project site. Candidates should be prepared for a field-based role with limited access to major metropolitan amenities and a strong focus on onsite collaboration.

About the Role

The Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting project management, field operations, and project controls on a complex, mission critical build. This environment demands strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across technical scopes and fast-moving schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate site activities, including subcontractor logistics, sequencing, and material deliveries

  • Participate in planning and coordination meetings with internal teams and trade partners

  • Assist in identifying and resolving design and construction conflicts in real time

  • Support QA/QC processes, including inspections, testing coordination, and verification tracking

  • Track and process submittals from approval through procurement and installation

  • Support enforcement of jobsite safety standards and protocols

  • Assist in maintaining project schedule and ensuring milestone adherence

  • Review RFIs, drawings, and specifications for technical accuracy and completeness

  • Support change management processes, including pricing and documentation (ASI, PR, CCD, etc.)

  • Help coordinate and document OAC and subcontractor meetings

  • Assist with project closeout, including turnover documentation and as-built drawings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience supporting mission critical, data center, advanced manufacturing, or similarly complex projects

  • Familiarity with construction technology platforms such as CMiC, PlanGrid, BIM 360, Assemble, or similar systems

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to adapt in a highly technical, schedule-driven construction environment

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to projects with high MEP coordination, commissioning requirements, or critical uptime considerations

  • Prior experience working in field-based roles on large, ground-up builds

Project Location & Travel

  • The project is located in West Texas, about 90 minutes outside of of the Midland–Odessa region
  • Midland–Odessa International Air & Space Port (MAF) serves as the primary airport hub for project travel
  • Relocation, per diem, housing, and travel support are available for qualifying candidates
  • Travel home may be taken every two weeks and will be reimbursed, with up to two flights covered.

  • This is a 2–5 year, project-based assignment with long-term stability and continuity

Physical Requirements

  • Combination of standing, walking, and sitting throughout the workday

  • Ability to climb stairs and navigate active construction sites

  • Frequent use of hands for computer and document management tasks

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

  • Capable of bending, kneeling, crouching, and working in a construction environment

  • Adequate vision, hearing, and communication ability for both office and field settings

This is an opportunity to be part of a high-impact project where precision, coordination, and execution are critical to success. If you’re looking to grow your career on technically demanding projects that push industry standards, we encourage you to apply.
