What You'll Do: As a Door Watch / Access Control Monitor is responsible for controlling access to restricted or hazardous areas by remaining stationed at designated entry points. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor assigned entry points and control access to restricted areas.
- Enforce established protocols and standards at all entry points.
- Politely and firmly prevent unauthorized individuals from entering closed or restricted rooms.
- Communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and visitors regarding access restrictions.
- Inform individuals of safety reasons for restricted access (e.g., ongoing work, cleaning, painting, or hazards).
- Record and report factory trades not adhering to protocols and standards.
- Report any attempts to bypass access restrictions or safety protocols.
- Follow all site safety rules, protocols, and instructions from supervisors.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
- Support overall workplace safety and compliance by enforcing access control rules.

What We're Looking For:
We're seeking someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player. To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience: Previous experience in security, access control, janitorial, facilities, or construction environments preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear and respectful instructions, along with a professional customer service attitude when interacting with employees and visitors. Must be able to enforce rules consistently and appropriately while maintaining attention to detail and strong situational awareness. Ability to remain alert and focused for long periods of time, follow safety procedures and site protocols, and handle access issues or conflicts calmly using basic problem-solving skills. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility are essential for this role.
- Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to stand and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time, with occasional walking or light movement as needed. Must be able to communicate verbally with employees, visitors, and contractors in person. May be required to work in varying indoor or outdoor environments depending on the assigned location. Must have the ability to maintain alertness and focus throughout the entire shift. Occasional light lifting (up to 10–20 lbs) may be required.
