eCommerce Merchandising Specialist

The eCommerce Merchandising Specialist plays a critical role in the execution of online merchandising initiatives and the daily operation of Shamrock’s eCommerce experience, supporting customers and internal teams through administration of the eCommerce platform and performing operational tasks critical to ensure the smooth functioning of the site. This role is responsible for set-up/testing/execution/measuring online merchandising initiatives, testing/documentation of new site features and enhancements, setup/testing for site pricing promotions, and defect troubleshooting/triage/testing, contributing to the high quality and efficiency of the online customer experience.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for set-up and configuration of online merchandising campaigns, customer onboarding flows, surveys, and site search using site administrative tools based on direction from Ecommerce Merchandising, Product, and Marketing teams.
  • Executes online ordering merchandising and promotional programs including creation of project plans with required dates to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
  • Documents requirements for online merchandising campaigns, creates test plans for pre- and post-campaign launch, and reviews/validates with all key stakeholders.
  • Performs pre- and post-launch testing, documents results, and determines prioritization for defect resolution for online merchandising campaigns, promotional programs, and new features and enhancements.
  • Monitors and triages user-reported issues from customer service, site analytics & monitoring tools, and customer feedback;partners with product, merchandising, and engineering teams to troubleshoot, plan, and execute changes needed to resolve issues.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders to track status and provide regular updates.
  • Assists with compiling and reporting metrics and performance of site features, campaigns, and other online merchandising strategies.
  • Supports Merchandising, Marketing, Product, Sales, and IT teams by creating and maintaining documentation for processes, workflows, operational procedures, and feature enhancements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or business-related field
  • 2+ years work experience
  • 1+ years experience in ecommerce preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
  • Demonstrate a data-driven approach to problem solving and prioritization
  • Ecommerce platform (commercetools), site analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and search (Algolia) experience preferred
  • Experience with analytics tools and performing analysis preferred (SQL, Python, Power BI, Google Tag Manager, etc.)
  • Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.
