Nurse Post Procedure Unit

**Responsibilities** **Job Summary:** Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. **Responsibilities:** + Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. + Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient. + Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient. + Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues. + Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices. **Qualifications** **Minimum:** + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing + AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State + American Heart Association BLS certification + American Heart Association ACLS certification **Preferred:** + BSN + Professional certification in area of specialty + One year recent acute care experience **Overview** Hello humankindness ( Located conveniently in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, ( St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a 571-bed, not-for-profit hospital that provides a wide range of health, social and support services.
