Datacenter Engineer

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Datacenter Engineer for our client in the Software domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Salary: $36.00-$44.00/Hourly

Primary Skills: Data Center Operations

Role Description: The Datacenter Engineer must have 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor data center operations and check for emergent alerts through monitoring platforms.

- Perform rack and stack installations, ensuring proper power and asset management.

- Perform troubleshooting and in-depth repairs of hardware and hypervisor issues, following documented processes.

- Facilitate communication and collaboration with the datacenter capacity team and R&D personnel.

- Work within the Phoenix site through cabling, monitoring, and team building activities.

- Assist as part of a team of on-site contacts for our Networking, Automation, and Capacity team

What You Will Bring:

- 2+ years of experience in data center operations or related field.

- Proficient in asset management and infrastructure monitoring systems.

- Strong coordination skills for managing complex tasks autonomously.

- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 100 lbs.) with assistance.

- Experience following documented processes to provide hardware and logistic troubleshooting

- Familiarity with data center tools, office productivity software, and ticket management systems.

- Demonstrated ability to learn and grow through on the job training

- Integrity and strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Education: High School

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
