At the Yuma Proving Grounds (YPG) in Yuma, AZ, SA-TECH supports the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) that covers the development, integration, management and support of an integrated program to enable a continuous, multi-domain, Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training platform across multiple physical training locations. Together with our partners, SA-TECH is helping integrate the Navy Combined Tactical Training Range (NCTTR) and the Southern California Offshore Range (SCORE) into the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) environment.

SA-TECH is currently looking to hire a Receptionist / Access Control Specialist at YPG in Yuma, AZ to provide receptionist services for our facilities and the safeguarding of sensitive information IAW local Work Instructions. This position reports to the Site Security Representative.

Specific duties include (but are not limited to):

• Provides safekeeping of facilities and equipment and the safeguarding of sensitive information.
• Controls building access and performs physical security checks.
• Restricts access to facilities to authorized personnel.
• Maintains current access roster.
• Maintains log of all personnel entering or leaving the facilities.
• Must be capable of comprehending and implementing instructions concerning the operation of mechanical equipment such as generators, air conditioners, fire protection equipment, and other emergency equipment.
• Will answer telephone calls when necessary and use the paging system.
• Will receive packages.
• Will be required to perform all security duties assigned under limited supervision utilizing instructions developed for guidance and direction.
• Issues badges to cleared contractor employees, Government employees, and to visitors who have a valid Visit Authorization Request (VAR) on file.
• Must be able to access JPAS to check available data.
• Must be able to contact designated station units/personnel in case of alarm or emergency following proper procedures.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to assist in lifting/carrying 50lb.
• Frequent and prolonged sitting, standing, or kneeling in place, and climbing (ladder/steps).
• When required, personnel may have to operate a Forklift, Pallet Stacker or Pallet Jack.

Education/Experience/Skills

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be capable of comprehending and implementing instructions concerning the operation of mechanical equipment such as generators, air conditioners, fire protection equipment, and other emergency equipment.
• Must attain and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Valid State Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
• U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
• All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
