Industrial Sewer

Join our team as an Industrial Sewer where you will play a crucial role in creating protective aprons for machinery by sewing large panels together. You will assist in handling large and high quantity orders and work with various sewing machines and stitch applications, including Single Needle and Double Needle techniques. This position requires you to follow established patterns and specifications, as well as develop new ones when necessary, all within an environment that values quick turnaround times. Additionally, you will use handheld hardware and tools, and assist with material inventory counts.

• Sew large panels together into aprons that cover machinery.
• Assist in the production of large and high quantity orders.
• Operate various sewing machines and apply different stitch applications, including Single Needle and Double Needle.
• Follow and create patterns and specifications as required.
• Ensure quick turnaround times for sewing tasks.
• Use handheld hardware and tools as necessary.
• Assist with material inventory counts.

• Experience with industrial sewing machines, including single needle and double needle.
• Proficiency in sewing large panels into aprons for machinery.
• Ability to operate sewing machines and perform alterations.
• Prior work history with heavy fabric and hardware.
• Capability to cut, measure, and grommet materials.
• Physical ability to lift and handle elements weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Endurance to stand for long periods.

• Experience in sewing alterations, including wedding and dress alterations.
• Skills in seams and tent sewing.

Work on the first shift from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in a casual dress environment. The team is inclusive, with translators available for Spanish-speaking individuals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
