Oasis Community Management is seeking a Part-time Bookkeeper to handle the month end closings for our Communities. We use C3 - Complete Control for Communities - to handle all aspects of management including financial management. We are in need of a bookkeeper to do the month end closings for all of the community financial statements. The candidate would be assigned about 35 accounts. The expectation would be to do weekly reconciliations in order to shorten the time at the end of the month. We prefer the candidate come into the office one day a week but would entertain other options. Our hours are Monday thru Thursday 7am - 5pm with Friday off. We are open to discussion to work from home. We would need at least once a week for the initial month to get familiar with processes and the business.

The ideal candidate would have several years of bookkeeping experience and familiarity with the mechanics of reconciling at the end of the month, the general ledger and adjusting entries.

Once trained, the position offers flexible hours with the main requirement to keep on top of transactions weekly in order to have the financial statements completed within 5 days of the end of the month. There are no complicated transactions as we work on behalf on Homeowner Associations to collect assessments and pay their bills. We utilize lockbox at the bank and the incoming assessment payments are handled by the bank and the file of homeowner assessments paid is imported. We utilize Advidpay/Strongroom to handle accounts payable which is also then imported into our system. There are few entries to be made at month end as 97% of all transactions are automated. The candidate would focus on the bank reconciliation as there are other bookkeepers who are handling the processing of Accounts Payable and other adjustments throughout the month.

The expectation would be approximately 40 hours per month.
