Lead Recreation Therapist

Quail Run Behavioral Health Hospital Phoenix is seeking a dynamic and talented Lead Recreation / Music Therapists to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

Certification or licensure by state and/or national governing body in of the following areas: Recreation, Music Therapy or Expressive Arts.CTRS, MT-BC or REAT Required.

Position Summary:

The Lead Recreation/Music Therapist performs leadership duties as directed by the Director of Recreation Therapy. These duties will support the department’s goal of planning and implementing specific therapeutic services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients as well as provide positive support for department staff.

May be required to work overtime and flexible hours

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Music, or Recreation Therapy, or related therapeutic discipline required.
• One (3) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Certification or licensure by state and/or national governing body in of the following areas: Recreation, Music Therapy or Expressive Arts.CTRS, MT-BC or REAT Required.
• Level 1 fingerprint clearance card or able to obtain.
