Duty Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM; this position requires working on campus 2-3 days a week, but is eligible for hybrid work scheduled department on the needs of the department.

Summary/Objective of Position:

Student Affairs Program Analyst at Dine College is responsible for conducting comprehensive and ongoing evaluations of student support programs and services with the Division of Student Affairs. This position leads the development, planning, implementation, management, and reporting of assessment and evaluation processes for both general-funded and grant-funded student-serving initiatives.

The primary objectives. of this role is to measure, track, and analyze the need, frequency, and utilization, and effectiveness of student referrals, interventions, and early alert systems related to academic, personal, and financial support. The Student Affairs Program Analyst collaborates closely with Student Affairs leadership to conceive, validate, and advance innovative approaches and continuous program improvements that support student success and institutional effectiveness.

LEADERSHIP (30%)

Assists the Vice President of Student Affairs and Students leaders in promoting a high-performance, collaborative, and team-oriented culture. Provides leadership and expertise in the design, implementation, interpretation, and evaluation of assessment and planning processes across Student Affairs.

Critically evaluates divisional assessment practices and recommends improvements.

Leads, supports, and guides Student Affairs leaders in evaluating existing programs and services.

Assists leaders in acquiring reliable student data, developing dynamic reports, and creating key performance dashboards to support data-informed decision-making.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & ASSESSMENT (40%)

Partners with the Vice President and Student Affairs leaders to promote a culture of innovation through meaningful program evaluation and data analysis.

Collects, organizes, analyzes, and reports statistical, survey, and qualitative data.

Identifies and validates key metrics for monitoring student success on a quarterly, semester, and annual basis.

Facilitates and maintains high standards for quantitative and qualitative analysis to support quality improvement, institutional reporting, and strategic decision-making.

Develops and manages programs evaluation timelines, milestones, and due dates.

Designs and administers program assessments using data analytics, visualization tools, and innovative data-mining techniques.

Analyzes program data to assess student learning outcomes, success indicators, program quality, impact, and effectiveness.

Assists Student Affairs leaders with grant development, grant applications, and required grant reporting, utilizing assessment data to support advocacy, expansion, and sustainability of grant-funded programs.

CAMPUS NETWORK & COLLABORATION (30%)

Plans and conducts professional development workshops that promote quality customer service within Student Affairs.

Designs and implements employee training focused on best practices in student support, academic success, leadership development, cross-institutional collaboration, and employee health and wellness.

Participates in strategic planning processes and provides recommendations for program and service improvements.

Collaborates with institutional offices for data consistency.

Work with Academic departments and collaborate with the Director of Assessment and Curriculum to align student support programs with academic goals.

Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, community partners, and educational institutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

Minimum:

Bachelor's degree in education, sociology, business administration, statistics, or a related field. Minimum of three (3) years of experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating student support services and programs.

Preferred:

Master's degree in education, sociology, business administration, statistics, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in evaluation, assessment, project management, and/or research within higher education. Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring, training, and guiding employees and students.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of student affairs programs, services, and best practices in higher education.

Knowledge of program evaluation, assessment methodologies, and outcomes-based planning.

Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, i.e., survey design and analysis.

Knowledge of data governance, reporting standards, and institutional effectiveness practices.

Knowledge of student success metrics, early alert systems, and intervention strategies.

Knowledge of grant-funded program requirements, compliance, and reporting processes.

Knowledge of strategic planning processes and continuous quality improvement frameworks.

Knowledge of higher education accreditation standards related to assessment and student services.

Skills:

Strong data analysis, interpretation, and visualization skills.

Effective written communication skills for preparing reports, dashboards, and grant documentation.

Strong verbal communication and presentation skills for facilitating workshops and meetings.

Project management skills such as planning, organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.

Advanced organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to design and administer surveys, assessments, and evaluation tools.

Skill in collaborating with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Proficiency in standard office and data-related software (i.e., spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools).

Abilities:

Ability to work independently while effectively supporting and guiding teams.

Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.

Ability to analyze complex data sets and synthesize findings into clear conclusions.

Ability to lead assessments initiatives and influence data-informed decision-making.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student and institutional data.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and institutional needs.

Ability to build and sustain effective working relationships across the college community.

Ability to think critically and apply sound judgment in problem-solving situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL

Physical Requirements, Work Environment & Travel : List any physical demands and/or working environments to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the job, including travel requirements, if applicable .

The position requires average physical ability and good overall condition.

Duties may include lifting and carrying materials weighing approximately 25-50 pounds.

Work activities may involve prolonged sitting, near-vision use for reading and computer work, and physical movements such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Some local travel may be required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Other Requirement(s): List any other requirements needed to fulfill the essential functions of the job e.g. driver's license, ability to speak Navajo, certifications, etc.

Ability to speak Navajo fluently is preferred but not required.
