Route Delivery Driver

Route Delivery Associates shall follow the Distribution Team Leader’s direction and fully embrace Capistrano’s Bakery Prime Directives and Statement of Values; coupled with the adherence to company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Associates perform duties as listed below and may include additional responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

• Review and verify route maps and route sheets daily for accuracy
• Check load against invoices to ensure product load count matches invoices
• Load delivery vehicle in stop order to ensure stops are made in proper route sequence
• Inspect delivery vehicle daily prior to departure, document on the Vehicle Inspection Sheet and report issues to the Delivery Services Team Leader timely
• Follow Route List and deliver products to customers according to each customer’s delivery instructions
• Picks up empty trays and/or dollies from customer stops and record on tray/dolly tracking sheets
• At the conclusion of daily routes; refuel delivery vehicle, unload empty trays in designated area, and return route bag and documentation to office

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older
• Possess basic math skills
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Possess good communication skills
• Work well with a team
• Able to follow written and verbal directions
• Possess a valid driver’s license and clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) – No special class required
• Ability to drive 16‘ up to 24’ delivery vehicle

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
• Ability to apply proper lifting, bending and stretching techniques
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• Have clean appearance and good hygiene
• Must be able to pass pre-placement drug screen & criminal background check
