Financial Counselor Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $17.93 to $24.66 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )

• Responsible for analyzing patient’s financial status and determining eligibility for insurance enrollment and/or financial assistance programs.
• Responds to telephone and written inquiries related to patient accounts.
• Assists patients with questions and concerns, explains charges and responds to other related inquiries.
• Collects accurate payment amounts and posts payments in the appropriate system.
• Reviews program guidelines and assists patients or responsible individuals with financial assistance applications.
• Consistently reviews past due bills and follow-up documentation
• Assists in enrollment of qualifying patients in AHCCCS and/or other insurance programs

Financial Counselor Qualifications:

• 1yr. of hospital or clinic insurance billing or collection experience
• Basic knowledge and understanding of State Medicaid program
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
