An Unarmed Security Guard plays a vital role in maintaining safety and security by monitoring premises, controlling access, and enforcing safety protocols. Typically working 8- to 12-hour shifts either solo or within small teams, this role is central to preventing incidents and ensuring a secure environment without direct interaction with law enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to detect and deter suspicious activity
- Control access to premises by verifying credentials
- Report incidents and irregularities accurately and promptly
- Enforce safety rules and company policies
- Resolve conflicts calmly and professionally
- Conduct security inspections to identify potential vulnerabilities
Required Qualifications
- Valid Security Guard License
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in security services
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong situational awareness
- Effective communication skills
- Conflict resolution capabilities
- Good physical fitness
