Restaurant Administrative Assistant
A successful family business with a 30+ year history in the hospitality and commercial real estate markets in Uptown Sedona seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant.
The candidate must be willing to perform administrative duties including answering calls and emails, scheduling maintenance appointments, ordering supplies, sorting mail, making copies, printing menus, scanning bills, programming Point of Sales, submitting payroll updates, etc. Experience with POS systems (Toast), bill pay (Quickbooks and Bill.com), and benefits administration are preferred. Fluency in Spanish, as well as, familiarity with events, marketing, and social media management are a plus!
A can-do attitude with strong communication skills and attention to detail is of utmost importance. The family is personally involved in day-to-day operations and also, employs various long-term outside consultants including accounting personnel so a team-player mindset and interest in collaboration is imperative.
The position is in person 9AM to 5PM (with some flexibility), Mondays through Fridays. Dining room experience is appreciated as you may be asked to assist the hostesses and / or floor manager on occasion (ample training will be provided in advance). Compensation is dependent upon experience.
Note: We are only considering applicants who currently reside within driving distance of Uptown Sedona.Duties:
- Perform standard administrative duties to ensure the office runs smoothly.
- Maintain accounts & files in an efficient and organized manner.
- Provide support for office equipment & POS system.
- Assist with data input for bill pay & payroll.
- Manage employee onboarding and off-boarding including including benefits registration.
- Assist with events and marketing programs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of office support required. Restaurant experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge in Quickbooks Online & Microsoft Excel, intermediate knowledge in Point of Sales preferred.
- Strong written & oral communication + attention to detail & organizational skills.
- Sense of urgency & ability to multi-task with little supervision.
- Interest in learning and a team player mindset.
