Inside Sales Assistant - Japanese Bilingual

Japanese Bilingual Inside Sales Assistant (Full-time)

• Industry: Asian Food and Beverage Distributor

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona (On-site)
• Hours: M-F: 8AM – 5PM; 1 hour lunch

Essential Job Functions

• Assist Sales Associates with order entry and paperwork
• Greets and directs visitors at the front desk and maintains the visitor log
• Answers, screens, and forwards incoming calls to appropriate person
• Collect payment by cash, check, or credit card and generate receipts for will call customers
• Scan documents
• Communicate with the Chopstick company regarding to price update, problem solution, logo design, etc. for chopstick logo.
• Modify quantity for fresh fish orders in the system
• Communicate with vendors regarding price updates
• Create promotional flyers to promote Company products
• Calculate costs and product pricing to determine profit margin
• Assist with other sales related duties
• Other duties as required by department manager

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit in an office setting for an extended period of time
• Ability to type and use a computer for extended periods throughout the day
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
• Working Conditions

o Noise Level: Normal to loud while in the office

Other Requirements

• Business level English required – Read/write/speak/listen
• Business level Japanese preferred – Read/write/speak/listen
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• The ability to communicate effectively
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload
• 1+ years of experience in an administrative or clerical position preferred
• 1+ years of relevant experience or food industry experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• Intermediate mathematical knowledge – profit margin calculations, markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.
