CVICU RN Job Details – Lake Havasu City, AZ

• Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403
• Assignment Type: Travel nurse, Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Blended ICU
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250–$2,310 per week
• Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
• Unit Size: 16 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) as primary RN, Emergency Department (ED) holding as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license (Arizona or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU, ICU, or critical care nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as needed
• Proficient in managing STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair/replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, ETOH Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills

CVICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment in accordance with hospital standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Operate and troubleshoot Baxter infusion pumps and utilize Medhost EHR system
• Respond to emergencies and provide advanced cardiac and trauma care as needed
• Float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as required
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and attendance guidelines
