Position Overview
UPMC is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Brand Graphic Designer to join our remote team. This is a fully remote position open to U.S.-based candidates only . In this role, you will create compelling visual assets that strengthen UPMC’s brand presence and support marketing, patient engagement, and internal communications initiatives.
This position is ideal for a designer who combines strong visual storytelling skills with a deep understanding of branding and digital design in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
$95,000 - $125,000 per annum (based on experience and location).
Key Responsibilities
Design high-quality visual assets for digital platforms (web, email, social media, landing pages) and print materials
Collaborate with marketing, communications, and cross-functional teams to deliver creative solutions
Maintain and evolve UPMC’s brand identity across all touchpoints
Translate complex healthcare messaging into clear, engaging visual content
Develop layouts, graphics, infographics, and presentation materials
Prepare production-ready files and ensure quality control across deliverables
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Stay current with design trends, tools, and accessibility standards (WCAG compliance)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, or related field
2+ years of professional graphic design experience
Strong portfolio showcasing branding, digital, and print design work
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Experience with design tools such as Figma or Sketch
Solid understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and branding
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries
Familiarity with UX/UI design principles
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
Experience with motion graphics or video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro)
Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design best practices

Work Environment
