Position Overview

UPMC is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Brand Graphic Designer to join our remote team. This is a fully remote position open to U.S.-based candidates only . In this role, you will create compelling visual assets that strengthen UPMC’s brand presence and support marketing, patient engagement, and internal communications initiatives.

This position is ideal for a designer who combines strong visual storytelling skills with a deep understanding of branding and digital design in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

$95,000 - $125,000 per annum (based on experience and location).

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-quality visual assets for digital platforms (web, email, social media, landing pages) and print materials

• Collaborate with marketing, communications, and cross-functional teams to deliver creative solutions

• Maintain and evolve UPMC’s brand identity across all touchpoints

• Translate complex healthcare messaging into clear, engaging visual content

• Develop layouts, graphics, infographics, and presentation materials

• Prepare production-ready files and ensure quality control across deliverables

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Stay current with design trends, tools, and accessibility standards (WCAG compliance)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, or related field

• 2+ years of professional graphic design experience

• Strong portfolio showcasing branding, digital, and print design work

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

• Experience with design tools such as Figma or Sketch

• Solid understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and branding

• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries

• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS

• Experience with motion graphics or video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro)

• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design best practices

Work Environment
