Project Manager II

Acara Solutions is looking for a Project Manager II for either their Phoenix, AZ site or Prescott, AZ site.

The client is looking for someone with experience in managing electrical distribution projects. It's crucial that the candidate has real-world electrical industry experience.

• Pay rate: $53.00
• Contractor will be working 40 hours per week
• Role will be hybrid
  • Location: Deer Valley and/or Prescott (preferred location)
    • DV -2121 West Cheryl Drive, Phoenix, Arizona 85021
    • Prescott - 6672 Corsair Ave. Prescott, AZ 86301
  • Schedule
    • Onsite 5 days per week until proficient with duties
      • Leader approval required
        • Then - Onsite 3 days a week or when in-person meeting or job responsibilities dictate

The Project Manager II has managerial and technical oversight for the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of assigned business unit or cross-functional projects. Manages multiple projects typically lasting six (6) months to two (2) years involving multi-departmental internal stakeholders. Works with leaders to determine team resources and lead multidisciplinary teams of five (5) to ten (10) people. Manages budgets and project resources across one (1) to two (2) business units. Project budgets typically between $500,000 to $10,000,000 and project scopes identified as medium complexity. Develops comprehensive execution plans. Communicates status updates and results to mid-level, inter/intra departmental management.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Experience managing 69kV and 12kV distribution project s, including distribution protection equipment
• Proven experience with Maximo or other asset management systems
• Experience creating, maintaining, and managing project schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6
• Working experience with ESRI GIS for planning and coordination
• Experience with cost management software, including reporting project actuals and variance analysis
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven stakeholder and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple project s simultaneously
• Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and decision-making abilities
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills; able to work cross-functionally
• High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• PMP ( Project Management Professional) certification
