GCP Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a GCP Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Phoenix, AZ (Onsite) . This role requires strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, PySpark, and enterprise Java/SpringBoot engineering. The engineer will support GCP migrations, build scalable services, and contribute to cloud‑native modernization initiatives.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

GCP Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain Java‑based applications using SpringBoot , Hibernate , Struts , and other web frameworks.

• Build and optimize GCP data workflows , including BigQuery , PySpark , and other cloud‑native components.

• Design and deploy microservices architecture , APIs, and RESTful web services.

• Support large‑scale GCP application migration projects for enterprise environments.

• Implement security best practices, monitoring, and performance tuning for cloud‑based systems.

• Work within large, decoupled, service‑oriented environments and collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams.

• Contribute to front‑end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript as required.

• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide analytical, scalable engineering solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of experience as a Java Engineer .

• Strong knowledge of Java , Spring , SpringBoot , Hibernate , Struts .

• Experience with GCP , BigQuery, PySpark, and cloud application migration.

• Hands‑on expertise in building web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript .

• Experience deploying, supporting, and maintaining microservices .

• Knowledge of monitoring tools , cloud operations, and security best practices.

• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
