Ad Ops Manager
Job Description
Job Description
As the Ad Operations Manager at Mobivity, you will lead both the strategic design and hands-on execution of Ad Operations (Ad Ops), serving as the bridge between Ad Ops, Brand Account Managers, and Game Account Managers to ensure campaigns launch smoothly and drive revenue growth.
You will work closely with Product, Analytics, Creative, and Sales to optimize workflows, manage cross-team priorities, and deliver campaigns with accuracy and efficiency. Ad Ops Specialists and Campaign Associates will report to you, and while they handle much of the day-to-day execution, you will actively run campaigns alongside them, manage the AdOps support queue, provide guidance, escalate feature requests, identify bugs for Product, coordinate with Creative to meet flight deadlines, and refine processes and tools.
This position is critical to building a high-performing AdOps team, combining execution with leadership to scale revenue delivery and operational excellence across the business.
Responsibilities:
Campaign Execution & Optimization
Own the full operational workflow from supply submission through launch, including setup, trafficking, QA, and performance monitoring.
Support Game Account Managers in pairing and rotating games with brands to balance supply and demand and prevent inventory over-saturation.
Identify and resolve setup-related underperformance, troubleshoot with stakeholders, and create processes to prevent recurrence.
Apply expertise in technical specifications, brand supply limits, and available tools to evaluate incoming requests, confirm feasibility, and recommend the most optimized approach.
Team Leadership & People Management
Manage Ad Ops Specialists and Campaign Associates, including onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
Serve as the central link between Game and Brand Account Managers, aligning priorities, guiding processes, and ensuring quality.
Lead daily and weekly operational calls with structured agendas that drive engagement, accountability, and a culture of ownership and operational excellence.
Process & Workflow Design
Document and refine processes to support scaling and cross-functional alignment.
Drive efficiency by enforcing accountability standards (deadlines, SLAs) and standardizing best practices.
Apply and reference frameworks such as onboarding workbooks and campaign setup guides to ensure consistent execution.
Creative Support
Provide creative feedback (e.g., level callouts, file size), recommend A/B tests, and coordinate approved updates with designers.
Coordinate with Creative to ensure asset development aligns with requirements and meets flight deadlines.
Systems & Tooling
Act as a power user of Mobivity’s proprietary platforms, providing feedback and driving adoption across the team.
Build, maintain, and optimize Jira workflows, boards, and automations to support AdOps needs.
Partner with Product to test and integrate new technologies, automation features, and API-driven tools.
Track throughput to measure and improve team efficiency.
Revenue Tracking & Forecasting
Monitor campaigns and revenue to identify performance variances and improve tracking accuracy.
Flag revenue variances when expectations are not met and support forecasting by maintaining accurate inputs from pipeline, ticketing, and onboarding details.
Provide operational visibility to leadership through clear reporting and performance dashboards.
Support Queue Management
Own the AdOps support queue, partnering with the current teammate to share workload and ensure requests are prioritized and resolved efficiently.
Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize support processes, reducing bottlenecks and improving turnaround times.
Recommend long-term solutions to scale support as ticket volume grows, including potential creation of a dedicated support function.
You’ll Thrive In this Role If You:
Are equally comfortable executing campaigns and managing a team.
Bring a strong Ad Tech and/or digital advertising background.
Take ownership of processes, spotting inefficiencies and fixing them proactively.
Have strong organizational skills and a passion for building scalable systems.
Enjoy collaborating across departments while balancing execution with strategy.
Are energized by being at the center of revenue delivery and performance accountability.
Requirements:
3–7 years in Ad Operations, Campaign Management, or Ad Tech.
Proven hands-on experience with campaign setup, monitoring, and optimization.
Advanced Jira proficiency (custom workflows, boards, automations) and experience with project management tools.
Familiarity with mobile attribution platforms (Adjust, Appsflyer, Singular).
Excellent analytical skills, with experience in reporting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
Proven leadership and people management skills, including onboarding and coaching.
Clear and effective communicator with the ability to lead cross-functional meetings.
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) preferred.
