Salary: $170,000 - $210,000 per year A bit about us: A privately held, full-service transportation and logistics provider, this organization delivers turnkey solutions across complex heavy-haul, crane, and rigging projects throughout North America. With decades of experience, the company combines specialized transportation, in-house engineering, and project management capabilities to execute highly technical moves involving oversized or mission-critical equipment. Known for its ability to handle challenging, time-sensitive projects, the team supports clients across industries by planning, lifting, transporting, and installing large-scale assets with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and cost optimization. - Lead all accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash)
- Deliver accurate monthly financials within 10 business days
- Maintain clean balance sheet reconciliations and audit-ready books
- Oversee billing, collections, and transaction accuracy
- Enforce internal controls, cash discipline, and process standardization
- Identify inefficiencies and drive automation/improvements
- Ensure accurate job costing, margin visibility, and cost allocation
- Partner with operations on revenue recognition and profitability
- Improve DSO, billing speed, and cash conversion cycle
- Build/own 13-week cash flow forecasting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
- Support EBITDA normalization and financial clarity
- Clean, audit-ready financials with minimal adjustments
- Consistent, timely close (10 days or better)
- Improved cash flow, billing, and collections
- Clear KPI visibility and job-level profitability
- Business ready for institutional diligence
- 8–12+ years in accounting/finance (Controller-level)
- Multi-entity experience ($50M–$150M preferred)
- Strong in job costing environments (construction, logistics, manufacturing, etc.)
- Experience improving processes, controls, and systems
- ERP experience (NetSuite, Dynamics, etc.)
