Full-time / Exempt / HYBRID

Job Summary: Leads the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing initiatives for the credit union in alignment with strategic growth and member experience objectives. Partners with the VP/Chief Experience Officer to develop and implement integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, product adoption, and member engagement. Oversees day-to-day marketing operations and directly manages a team of 3–4 marketing professionals, ensuring effective performance, development, and alignment with organizational goals. Utilizes data and analytics to measure results, optimize performance, and inform strategic decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise, coach, and develop a team of 3–4 marketing professionals, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and organizational priorities
• Establish individual and team performance objectives, monitor progress, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching
• Lead, manage, and develop the marketing team, ensuring accountability for performance outcomes and alignment with strategic priorities
• Conduct performance evaluations, support professional development plans, and address performance issues as needed
• Allocate resources and assign work to maximize team effectiveness and meet project deadlines
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Partner with the VP/CXO to define strategic direction, while independently leading execution of marketing initiatives and operational priorities
• Develop and manage the annual marketing plan, including campaign calendars, priorities, and resource allocation
• Identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness, deepen member relationships, and increase product adoption
• Lead end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns from concept through launch, including planning, creative development, implementation, and post-campaign review
• Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, social media, branch, and community outreach)
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and agencies to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
• Ensure all marketing materials meet brand standards and maintain consistency across channels
• Manage and optimize digital marketing efforts including website content, email marketing, social media, and online advertising
• Monitor member engagement trends and recommend strategies to enhance digital experience and adoption
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve member communications and support overall member experience initiatives
• Analyze campaign performance using key metrics such as engagement, conversion, acquisition, and return on investment (ROI)
• Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership, identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement
• Utilize data and research to inform marketing strategies and decision-making
• Collaborate with lending, operations, and leadership teams to support development and launch of new and enhanced products and services
• Develop go-to-market strategies and communication plans to effectively position products to current and prospective members
• Develop, manage, and optimize the marketing budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and accountability for return on investment
• Monitor expenses and adjust spending as needed to align with priorities and ROI expectations
• Foster a collaborative team environment and ensure effective communication across departments
• Serve as a key partner to internal stakeholders, supporting cross-functional initiative
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all marketing initiatives through effective team planning, prioritization, and execution·
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including advertising, privacy, and financial industry standards
• Complete required compliance training, including BSA/AML requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives

Education/Skill/ Work Experience Requirements:

Skills:

• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business goals into marketing initiatives
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights
• Knowledge of branding, member engagement, and marketing best practices
• Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within financial services or a related industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor team members, or support others’ development.
• Experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• Experience with marketing analytics, reporting, and performance measurement.
• Prior leadership or project management experience preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field required
