Location: Chandler, AZ
Company: Skysource
Shift: 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $29.70/hr (top candidates may be considered up to $32.00/hr)

About the Role

Our client is hiring an experienced Operator II to support our fabrication team in Chandler, AZ. This position focuses on operating flat bed laser and punch equipment in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment .

We’re looking for someone with strong laser experience, excellent blueprint reading skills, and a sharp attention to detail to ensure quality production.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up and operate flat bed laser and punch machines to produce flat pattern parts
• Work with materials including aluminum, stainless steel, hot rolled, and cold rolled steel
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and tolerances

• Verify material types and thicknesses prior to processing
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and precision tools
• Perform in-process and final quality checks
• Complete all documentation, tagging, and travelers accurately
• Maintain accurate part counts and labor tracking

• Conduct basic preventative maintenance and machine upkeep
• Follow all safety procedures and 5S standards
• Report equipment or quality issues to leadership

What We’re Looking For

2–3+ years of flat bed laser experience in manufacturing
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Understanding of tolerances and quality standards
Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Ability to identify materials and thicknesses
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
Comfortable in a high-mix, low-volume environment
Basic computer & labor tracking system skills

Preferred Experience

Experience with Trumpf TruLaser 1030 and/or TruLaser/TruPunch 6000
Background in laser + punch combination machines
Familiarity with preventative maintenance on laser equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
