Job Overview

Superior Bulk, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager – West to lead our driver team based out of our Glendale, AZ facility . This role oversees daily fleet operations, ensures safety compliance, optimizes performance, and develops a strong, motivated team of CDL drivers.

This position will also provide operational leadership and support to our remote facilities in Tucson, Kingman, and Las Vegas as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of a fleet of CDL drivers
• Hire, train, evaluate, and develop drivers to maintain high performance standards
• Ensure compliance with US DOT and FMCSA regulations , including HOS and safety requirements
• Troubleshoot operational and field issues quickly and effectively
• Provide leadership support and operational oversight to remote facilities in Tucson, Kingman, and Las Vegas
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer site contacts
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Dispatch, HR, and Executive teams
• Optimize fleet utilization and performance using transportation management tools
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Support LEAN principles and people-centered operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Transportation Management or Fleet Operations
• Experience leading and motivating CDL driver teams
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety compliance
• Experience with dry bulk pneumatic and/or dump truck operations preferred
• Experience managing teams of drivers
• Proficiency with transportation software (Samsara experience a plus)
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
