The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Homeowners Associations (HOAs), both open and gated communities, to ensure successful deployment of fiber infrastructure and services. The position will act as the primary liaison between the company and HOA boards, management companies, and residents, facilitating access agreements, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive customer and community experience. This position will work closely with key stakeholders in permitting, engineering, construction, sales, and market expansion.
Responsibilities:
1. Relationship Development & Management
Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with HOA boards, management companies, and community leaders.
Serve as the company’s primary point of contact for HOA-related communication.
Educate HOA stakeholders on company services, community benefits, and network expansion plans.
2. Right of Entry / Building Access Agreements
Negotiate, draft, and secure Right of Entry (ROE) and Building Access Agreements with private and gated HOAs.
Ensure agreements are aligned with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
Collaborate with legal and network planning teams to streamline access processes and support buildout timelines.
3. HOA Issues & Concerns Management
Capture, document, and resolve HOA concerns (construction impacts, restoration, service quality, resident complaints, etc.).
Proactively identify potential issues within HOAs and coordinate resolution across internal teams (engineering, construction, operations, and customer service).
Act as an escalation path for HOA-specific issues.
4. Community Engagement & Advocacy
Represent the company at HOA meetings, board sessions, and community events.
Provide ongoing updates to HOAs on construction timelines, service availability, and community initiatives.
Advocate for the company as a trusted, local partner delivering value to communities.
5. Internal Coordination
Partner with market development, construction, legal, and customer care teams to ensure HOA access and relationships are managed efficiently.
Provide regular reporting on HOA status, access agreement progress, and issue resolution.
Share community insights with leadership to guide deployment and customer experience strategies.
SKILLS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of experience working with HOAs
Project management experience
Bachelors degree preferred
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Negotiation and contract management experience (HOA/ROE agreements preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage sensitive situations diplomatically and professionally.
Organizational skills with experience managing multiple communities/projects.
Knowledge of real estate, property management, or telecom access agreements is a plus.
