Java/Cloud Solutions Architect

Overview:

Our client is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Java, Microservices, and Cloud technologies to lead architectural efforts across enterprise-scale healthcare applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong architectural leadership, healthcare domain experience, and familiarity with FHIR standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Technical Leadership

Design and lead architecture for enterprise-scale applications and integrations.

Collaborate with enterprise and clinical architecture teams to ensure alignment.

Translate business capabilities into scalable and secure technical designs.

Ensure architectural solutions meet non-functional requirements (e.g., SLA, latency, concurrency).

Team & Program Leadership

Provide architectural oversight and hands-on support throughout the development lifecycle.

Guide technical leads and engineers across multiple projects.

Act as senior architect on major initiatives, including clinical programs.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years in software engineering and architecture roles (e.g., Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect).

Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and front-end frameworks (Angular/JavaScript).

Deep understanding of non-functional requirements and ability to design for performance, scalability, and reliability.

5+ years of full-stack development experience.

5+ years working with SQL, NoSQL, Redis, and other databases.

5+ years in cloud platforms (GCP or AWS), microservices, and API design.

Experience with DevOps tools: Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Git, Kafka.

Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, especially Generative AI and LLMs.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the healthcare domain.

Knowledge of FHIR standards.

Experience working with distributed teams across time zones.

Work Schedule:

Fully remote but must be available during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
