Accounting Lead Consultant POST NUMBER: 427209
Vaco is seeking a seasoned Accounting Lead to join our team as a Consultant. In this role, you'll play a key role in managing the company’s financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and excellent leadership skills.
Location: Phoenix, AZ (hybrid)
Pay Rate: $55 - $65 per hour (depending on experience)
Project Length: Approx. 3 - 6 months

Responsibilities include:
Oversee and contribute to daily accounting functions and month-end close processes
Lead a team of accounting professionals
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional departments as necessary
Ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements
Proven experience in an accounting leadership position
Strong skillset in Excel and other ERP software
Commitment to duration and needs of project
