Hospital Lab Tech Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 15, 2025 – December 15, 2025)
• Employment Type: Travel Laboratory Technician
• Setting: Hospital Laboratory (clinical laboratory jobs)
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM), mixed/varied, with flexibility for rotating weekends and occasional 12-hour shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1450–$1480
• Float: May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Lab Technician Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Hospital Lab Tech or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a hospital setting
• Current MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) certification (ASCP or equivalent)
• Experience in microbiology and blood bank required
• Proficiency in plate reading, sensitivities, and organism identification (IDs)
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including rotating weekends and occasional 12-hour shifts
• Strong communication, clinical support, and teamwork skills

Lab Tech Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and clinical analysis following hospital protocols
• Conduct microbiology procedures, including plate reading, sensitivities, and identification of organisms
• Support blood bank operations and ensure accurate specimen processing
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Float to other healthcare facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed
