Job Title: Lead Plumber

Our client is expanding into plumbing—and they’re not looking for average. They’re building a division fueled by grit, high energy, and a culture of winning together in the field. The Lead Plumber is both a frontline producer and a division builder. You’ll be in the trenches running calls, closing high-value work, while mentoring new plumbers and setting the standard for how this trade gets done in the Mesa/Tempe, AZ market.

This role is for the proven producer ready to step up and lead while still earning high rewards based on their own performance.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Take on high-value service and sales opportunities—water heaters, re-pipes, sewer, and beyond—turning leads into high-margin revenue.

• Expertly diagnose and execute all aspects of residential plumbing, including main line to house repairs, full re-piping, fixture installation, water pressure regulation, and even septic systems.

• Mentor new and existing plumbers in the field, teaching them how to sell, install, and execute service to the highest standard. You will raise the floor and push the ceiling for the entire division.

• Drive $1.5M–$2M in plumbing revenue in Year 1 (10% of branch revenue). Your personal production plus team growth are your primary scoreboard.

• Work strictly to pricebook standards and ensure jobs land at 52%–56%+ Gross Margin (GM%). You will hold yourself and your team accountable to profitability.

• Actively convert customers into service members to fuel recurring revenue and lock in customer loyalty aligned with the existing HVAC culture.

• Be in the field, shoulder-to-shoulder with your team, showing what high personal performance and technical excellence looks like daily.

Requirements

• Required: 5–10 years of experience as a proven closer in residential plumbing with a consistent annual production history (preferred $500K–$800K+).

• Technical Mastery: Must have high-level proficiency in complex plumbing tasks, including diagnosis and repair of main line breaks, full house re-pipes, water pressure issues, and septic system components.

• ServiceTitan Required: ServiceTitan experience is required to manage digital workflow, invoicing, and customer records.

• Someone who loves the trade but also thrives teaching and leading others.

• Must have a high-energy, no-excuses, results-driven mindset.

• Comfortable with modern field service technology: ServiceTitan, financing platforms (GreenSky, etc.), and digital workflow tools.

• Willingness to rotate weekends, jump in where the team needs you, and demonstrate the dedication required to grind when the job calls for it.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

What Can We Do for You?

• Earning Potential: $115,000 – $130,000 annually, tied directly to production and leadership impact.

• Compensation Structure (Example Base + Commission/Bonus):

• Personal Commission: 17–20% on collected revenue

• Override: $250/month per plumber hitting KPIs

• GM% Bonus: Up to $800/month for hitting division margin goals

• Clear Scoreboard: Your success is measured by high-impact KPIs, including $100K–$125K+ in personal monthly truck turn and consistent closing on high-value services.
