Golf Shop Attendant

Papago Golf Club is seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Golf Shop Attendant to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for many guests, this role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional public golf experience that reflects the energy and pride of Papago Golf Club. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, knowledgeable about the game of golf, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Operations:
● Greet guests in a welcoming and professional manner
● Check in golfers, manage tee sheets, and process payments accurately
● Provide information regarding course policies, rates, programs, and events
● Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and inquiries
● Assist with tournament and event check-in when needed

Retail & Merchandising:
● Maintain an organized and visually appealing golf shop
● Assist guests with merchandise selection and product knowledge
● Process retail transactions using point-of-sale systems
● Receive, tag, and restock inventory
● Support promotional displays and seasonal merchandising efforts

Daily Club Operations:
● Coordinate with outside services staff to ensure smooth tee time flow
● Communicate course conditions and updates to guests
● Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of the golf shop
● Assist with junior programs, leagues, and club events as needed

Qualifications:
● Previous golf course or retail experience preferred (but not required)
● Knowledge of golf terminology and etiquette
● Strong customer service and communication skills
● Comfortable using POS systems and tee sheet software
● Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
● Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
