Travel Registered Nurse Home Health Job
Registered Nurse – Home Health, travel assignment in Tucson, Arizona. Start date: April 13, 2026. Duration: 14 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 8-hour days. - Home health care setting delivering skilled nursing care in patients’ homes Responsibilities
- Assess home health and hospice patients in stable and emergent situations to identify physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs, with documentation across clinical records and team communications.
- Develop, implement, document, and evaluate the Plan of Care (POC) to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Obtain and integrate data on physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural factors that influence health status into the POC.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records, ensuring visits, contacts, problems, plans, actions and goals are accurately documented and adjusted as changes occur.
- Provide care with appropriate infection control measures (OSHA) and educate patients and families regarding care, medications, home safety, and self-care practices; tailor teaching to age, condition, culture, and readiness.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team and supervise HHA/STNA/LVN as needed to ensure quality and continuity of service, and participate in on-call coverage as assigned. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona; CPR certification required; CHPN certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of RN experience in a clinical care setting; 2+ years of home health experience preferred.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Proficiency with Homecare Homebase software and OASIS experience required.
- Knowledge of venipuncture and IV care; competent in wound care and management, inhalation therapy, phlebotomy for outpatient testing, and bowel/bladder training for home/hospice patients; competent in indwelling catheter/drain care; safe use of durable medical equipment and, when ordered, restraints.
- Ability to organize tasks, set priorities, and work effectively in a home care setting; strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with adequate auto insurance; ability to travel locally. Benefits and Support
