A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher with expertise in supporting middle school students. This contract role focuses on empowering learners with diverse needs in a resource classroom setting. The assignment extends until May 2027, offering stability and the chance to build meaningful relationships throughout the academic year.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Special Education Certification required
- Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card mandatory
- Proven teaching experience in a middle school resource environment preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instruction and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to middle school students with varying learning needs
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social development in alignment with IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to foster inclusion and student progress
- Maintain accurate student records, assessments, and documentation
- Engage with parents and guardians to facilitate ongoing communication and support
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP meetings as required
