Salesforce Experience Cloud Architect / Lead Developer (Phoenix, AZ ONLY)

At Access Data, we are seeking an experienced Salesforce Experience Cloud Architect / Lead Developer to design, build, and lead the delivery of scalable, high-performance digital experiences. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with architectural strategy, focusing on Experience Cloud implementations, integrations, and personalized user journeys.

Need to Know:

• 6-month contract (potential for extension)
• Hybrid schedule: 1-2 days/week in office (Downtown Phoenix)
• Will only consider candidates local to Phoenix, AZ
• Open to W2 and C2C
• Full-time hours, not a part-time contract

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer
• Active Salesforce Experience Cloud Certification (required)
• Demonstrated experience leading the end-to-end architecture of Salesforce Experience Cloud sites
• Strong expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS/SLDS
• Deep understanding of Lightning Web Runtime (LWR) and its impact on performance and SEO
• Experience with Salesforce CLI (SFDX) and modern DevOps/CI/CD practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Service Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud
• Background in UI/UX principles and user-centered design

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Design & Strategy

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and solution design for Experience Cloud implementations
• Evaluate and select appropriate frameworks (LWR vs. Aura) based on performance, scalability, and SEO requirements
• Design secure, scalable solutions leveraging External Identity, SSO, and advanced sharing models (e.g., Apex Managed Sharing, Account Relationship Data Sharing)
• Establish governance standards, including branching strategies and CI/CD pipelines for Experience Cloud deployments

2. Technical Development (Hands-on Leadership)

• Develop and oversee high-performance, modular Lightning Web Components optimized for LWR
• Implement personalization strategies using audience targeting and CMS capabilities
• Design and build scalable automation solutions using Flow (including headless flows) and asynchronous Apex
• Provide hands-on development support and technical leadership across the delivery lifecycle

3. Data & Integration

• Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and secure authentication methods (e.g., Named Credentials)
• Leverage Data Cloud or similar platforms to enable unified customer views and enhanced user experiences
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability across integrated systems

4. Leadership & Collaboration

• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices to ensure quality, scalability, and compliance with Salesforce governor limits
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and user stories
• Communicate technical concepts and roadmaps to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
