The anticipated salary range for this role is between $73,000.00 and $93,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. SUMMARY:

The Software Engineer, Credit and Fraud risk technology is responsible for building and maintaining risk decision systems that scale across products with a unified approach to rule/business logic management.

Part of the Credit & Fraud risk technology group, this individual will contribute to the design and delivery of robust, scalable microservices in support of digital bank's mission-critical decisioning infrastructure.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and maintain robust, scalable software applications using Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and related technologies.
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
    • Design, implement, and maintain secure and efficient RESTful APIs and microservices.
    • Assist in integrating CI/CD pipelines and automating build, test, and deployment processes.
    • Contribute to maintaining high code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration practices.
    • Support troubleshooting and debugging of production issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
    • Hands-on experience in software development, including coding, testing, and monitoring.
    • Proficiency in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and associated frameworks and libraries.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with an understanding of deployment and scalability best practices.
    • Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
    • Working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
    • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, or similar platforms.
