Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is looking for a machinist. With minimal supervision, the applicant should be expected to safely and independently setup and operate manual and CNC machining equipment, including electric discharge machines (EDM).
Responsibilities:
- Performs setup and operates CNC and manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, surface grinders and EDMs.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Use metrological instrumentation to inspect workmanship and meet tolerance requirements (i.e. Calipers, micrometers, comparator etc.)
- Performs regular cleaning and preventative care for manufacturing equipment.
- Complies with all safety procedures, quality policies, and work instructions.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
- Manual and CNC machining
- Capable of applying basic mathematical concepts including trigonometry and unit conversions to real-world applications in the shop.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- CAD/CAM experience preferred
- High School Diploma/GED required
All positions require passing a mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and background check.
Shift: M-F, 6am 2:30pm
