Arizona Nursing Job Details

• Location: Tucson, AZ 85712 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130–$2190
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel RN contract
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30); option for 4x12-hour shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (4 weekend shifts/month)
• Unit: 16-bed Labor & Delivery (average daily census: 14)
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Orientation: 36 hours (multiple start dates available)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license or compact state nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (within last 2 years)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• One supervisory reference required
• Travel nurses must live outside a 75-mile radius from Tucson, AZ
• Applicants with only one DUI (over one year ago) are eligible

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, including high-risk obstetric cases
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other OB procedures
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced fetal monitoring techniques
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions per physician orders
• Educate and support patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
• Float to other clinical units as required based on patient census
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing professional development
