Overview
The Partner Development Representative for Value Added Resellers (VARs) is crucial for nurturing and expanding our VAR partner network. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of channel dynamics.
The successful candidate will collaborate with various internal teams and external partners, with a focus on maximizing revenue and strengthening our product's market presence through the VAR channel.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, recruit, and onboard top-tier VAR partners, ensuring comprehensive training and readiness to effectively sell and support our products.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a robust VAR channel program, outlining clear terms, conditions, and benefits for participating partners.
- Provide VAR partners with the necessary tools, resources, and support, including managing content on the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure they have access to the latest product information and sales strategies.
- Manage and qualify project registrations and partner sourced opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to initiate co-marketing programs and promotions aimed at driving sales through the VAR channel.
- Align with sales teams to unearth opportunities within the VAR channel, providing them with the requisite support to convert these opportunities into sales.
- Maintain ongoing communication with VAR partners, cultivating strong relationships, and ensuring their alignment with our strategic objectives.
- Gather and analyze feedback from VAR partners and customers, channeling these insights to the product development team to influence future product enhancements.
- Design and implement incentive programs to motivate VAR partners, ensuring clear and effective communication about these programs and any other important updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in channel program management or partner development, specifically with VARs.
- Comprehensive understanding of the VAR ecosystem and the value-added services they provide.
- Strong skills in data capture, with proficiency in tools such as Salesforce and Tableau.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results through indirect sales channels.
- Strategic thinker with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $40,500 to $77,250. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
