Java Backend Developer

Join our high-impact NA DIG Apps Application Development team as a Java Backend Developer. In this role, you will play a foundational part in building and modernizing core backend systems that power critical commercial platforms. You will work within a highly collaborative environment focused on scaling cloud-native microservices, implementing reactive programming patterns, and engineering high-quality technical frameworks.

responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deliver resilient backend software applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architectures.
• Architect and scale efficient RESTful API structures and seamlessly interface with both enterprise relational databases and NoSQL solutions.
• Write exceptionally clean, reliable, and refactored code while strictly adhering to test-driven and behavior-driven development principles.
• Engage within a modern CI/CD landscape to deploy infrastructure configurations, run continuous automated testing, and secure smooth production cycles.

qualifications:
8+ years of professional backend software development experience using Java and J2EE platforms.

Extensive hands-on background developing containerized cloud-ready microservices utilizing the Spring Boot framework.

Confident understanding of object-oriented design patterns, database development (Oracle, MySQL, or Cassandra), and comprehensive SCM/build automation tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Direct engineering experience working with Vert.x or similar asynchronous, reactive programming frameworks.

Practical exposure to scalable NoSQL database clusters, notably Apache Cassandra.

Demonstrated mastery of automated testing practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
