Swahili Interpreter (Court Services)
Employer : Superior Court of Arizona – Maricopa County
Compensation: $35–$48 per hour
About the Role:
The Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County seeks Swahili Interpreters to assist court users requiring Swahili–English interpretation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during judicial proceedings.
- Translate documents as assigned.
- Uphold neutrality and confidentiality.
- Appear in professional business attire.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in Swahili and English .
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Legal interpreting experience preferred.
- Must pass fingerprint and background screening.
Experience :
- Swahili court or community interpreter : 1 year (Required).
Language :
- English (Required)
- Swahili (Required)
License/Certification:
- Swahili Language proficiency (ALTA) or official training (Required).
- Court Interpreter Certification (Required).
