**Job Title:** Forklift Driver
**Location:** Phoenix, AZ 85043
**Pay Rate:** $20 per hour
**Shift:** Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (with overtime when needed)
**Employment Type:** Potential for Hire
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, particularly large forklifts, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in the workplace.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Operate 5-ton forklifts to move heavy loads safely and efficiently.
+ Spot for drivers of larger forklifts to ensure safety during operations.
+ Perform light computer work, including data entry, printing, and copying.
+ Conduct a forklift driving test to demonstrate safety and caution.
+ Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash and cleaning during downtime.
+ Learn to use a handheld device for receiving and scanning items as they go out; training will be provided, but proficiency is expected.
**Qualifications:**
+ 3-5 years of experience working with heavy equipment operators.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience driving large equipment forklifts.
+ Experience spotting for drivers of larger forklifts is essential.
+ Familiarity with larger forklift operation is a plus but not required for initial employment.
+ Ability to maintain safety standards while operating equipment.
+ Willingness to perform additional tasks as needed based on demand.
**Preferred Skills:**
+ Experience with sit-down forklifts; experience with stand-up reach forklifts is a bonus but not required.
+ Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
