Job Summary

The Bagel Line Builder is responsible for preparing and assembling bagels and cream cheese to brand standards with speed, accuracy, and consistency. This role is guest-facing and production-focused, requiring strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a passion for great food. Bagel Line Builders are a key part of delivering an exceptional guest experience every shift.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Assembly

• Build bagels with cream cheese and mix-in toppings.

• Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and quality on every order

• Toast, slice, spread, and assemble items efficiently during high-volume service

Speed, Accuracy & Quality

• Maintain fast ticket times while upholding food quality and consistency

• Double-check orders for accuracy before handing off to expo or guests

• Communicate clearly with teammates to keep the line flowing smoothly

Cleanliness & Food Safety

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards

• Keep the bagel line, prep areas, and equipment clean and organized throughout the shift

• Label, date, and rotate products properly (FIFO)

• Food Handler Certification

Guest Experience

• Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming attitude

• Assist with guest questions when needed

• Represent the brand with pride and hospitality

Teamwork & Operations

• Support other stations as needed during peak periods

• Restock the bagel line and notify leadership of low inventory

• Follow opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures as assigned

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in food service, preferably in a deli and/or as a line cook.

• Must be over 18 years of age.

• High School Diploma and/or Culinary School Diploma is a plus!

• Strong guest service and communication skills.

• Outgoing and friendly personality.

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume setting.

• Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong work ethic.

• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends or holidays, if needed.

• Current Food Handlers card.
