RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Loading material / parts into CNC Mill machine and running program.
• Daily maintenance on machine (checking fluid levels, cleaning out chips, etc).
• In-process inspection of parts.
• Minor program changes, mainly tool offsets. Knowledge in G and M code.
• Replacement of worn or damaged tools (inserts, boring bars, end mills, drills, etc).
• Sign-off of paperwork accompanying parts (MOT, Inspection Traveler)
• Proper handling of parts.
• Proper identification of parts / parts containers to maintain traceability to job number & split lot.

EXPERIENCE / TRAINING REQUIRED:

• CNC Mill machine operation.
• Ability to read blue prints.
• Ability to understand customer schematics and requirements.
• Knowledgeable with GD&T.
• Part holding methods.
• Machine maintenance requirements.
• Reading and understanding B/P’s including assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, abbreviations, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T), and any other standard nomenclature per customer, government, or industry standards.
• Use of basic inspection, measuring and test equipment to verify dimensions of product.
• Installation and removal of perishable tooling.
• Company specific handling requirements.
• Company specific product identification requirements
