Pharmacy Technician (Onsite Training – Remote Eligible After 8 Weeks)
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85040
Schedule:

• Week 1: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (AZ Time)

• Weeks 2–12: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (AZ Time)

Overview

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team and support pharmacy operations in processing and verifying prescriptions accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to patient safety and service.

Important Details

• Initial Onsite Requirement: Contractor must be onsite for the first 8 weeks of the assignment.

• Remote Flexibility: After successful completion of 8 weeks onsite, remote work may be considered based on performance and manager approval.

• Assessment Requirement: Candidates must complete a free online computer proficiency and typing assessment and attach a screenshot of the results at the top of their resume.

Responsibilities

• Review, research, and accurately enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system.

• Resolve incomplete prescriptions after clarification is obtained from the prescriber.

• Prepare and send appropriate patient letters.

• Fax prescribers for prescription clarifications, substitutions, and formulary changes.

• Maintain production and quality standards as defined by the management team.

• Recognize and identify commonly used generic drugs and their routes of administration.

• Perform additional pharmacy functions and duties as needed to support workflow.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program .

• Minimum 3 months of pharmacy experience.

• Active State Board of Pharmacy license or trainee license AZ.

• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED .

• Strong typing and computer proficiency .

• Excellent understanding of prescription terminology, Latin abbreviations, and dosage calculations.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and meet production goals.
