(Eastside) Dispensary Retail Associate
D2 Dispensary - Eastside is looking for friendly and customer service-oriented Retail Associates!
Rate of Pay: $16.00/hr About the role:Our Dispensary Retail Associates provide an excellent customer experience with individualized service to all dispensary visitors. The dispensary retail associate is responsible for serving both patients and adult-use customers in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a consultative role requiring a basic knowledge of cannabis products and the variety of consumption methods to assist customers in their purchasing decisions. The dispensary retail associate is expected to be a team player and work efficiently without sacrificing quality of service.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating a POS system to process transactions.
- Fulfilling in-store and online orders for pick up.
- Acting as a resource for customers to answer questions about products and methods of consumption.
- Assisting customers and patients in their selection of products for purchase.
- Participating in weekly inventory counts.
- Labeling and stocking product for sale.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
What you need to succeed:
- Basic cannabis product knowledge
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Attention to detail
- Determined and committed work ethic
- Ability to learn and understand the point of sale and ADHS verification system
- Ability to perform all assigned tasks with precision, speed, and efficiency
- Microsoft Office experience, including familiarity with Excel
You should also have:
- Must be 21 years of age and pass a criminal background check.
- HS Diploma/GED required.
- Previous work experience required.
- Experience in retail sales, or cannabis, preferred.
- Cash handling experience.
- Familiarity with the variety of methods for cannabis consumption.
- Knowledge of Arizona marijuana laws and regulations or willingness to learn.
- Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of AZDHS, HIPAA, and Arizona State.
- Schedule flexibility with the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Physical requirements:
- Standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Repetitive motion that may include wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Hours : Full Time 40 hour/week, open availability, nights and weekends required, potential overtime opportunity

You cannot work at D2 Dispensary or any state-licensed dispensary in Arizona if you have been convicted of an excluded felony offense as per A.R.S. § 36-2801 . This is the definition of an excluded felony offense:
(a) A violent crime as defined in section 13-901.03, subsection B, that was classified as a felony in the jurisdiction where the person was convicted.
A.R.S. § 13-901.03 – B. For the purpose of this section, “violent crime” includes any criminal act that results in death or physical injury or any criminal use of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.
(b) A violation of a state or federal controlled substance law that was classified as a felony in the jurisdiction where the person was convicted but does not include:
(i) An offense for which the sentence, including any term of probation, incarceration or supervised release, was completed ten or more years earlier.
(ii) An offense involving conduct that would be immune from arrest, prosecution, or penalty under section 36-2811 except that the conduct occurred before the effective date of this chapter or was prosecuted by an authority other than the state of Arizona.
